The location and the buffet…superb Alhamdulillah This is our first time in Mecca. I searched many reviews of different hotel and took a risk at booking this hotel and specifically booked this hotel as the reviews were excellent and the location is a 4 minute walk (with easy access for wheelchair) to Al- Haram and To the Kaa’ba. when I arrived I couldn’t believe the amazing location, it was perfect. Checking in was very easy, staff are friendly and helpful. I travelled with my mum who is disabled/handicap. I requested before arrival for a disabled room which was granted. The beds in the room was comfortable and room was spacious had everything you needed. The only issue that we had was the wet room had no mop to sweep the water from the shower. My mother is unstable on her feet therefore I was worried that she would see and needed to map the water off the floor so that it was dry at all times. I asked if I could have a lot permanently in the room, this isn’t normally what guests should have. However, Mohamed Zahangir provided us with the mop which was extremely kind of him to make an exception. I had booked the hotel with breakfast and dinner. As it was Ramadan they offered Sohor and Iftar. The buffet spread was online. Any other hotel I have seen. They had a selection of fresh food every day with a combination of Indonesian dishes and Middle Eastern dishes. I want to thank the 4 chefs (whom I’m sorry I can’t remember the names), exquisite dishes even down to the presentation. The food was exceptional. There are many other members of staff that I would like to thank for many different reasons, but above all for the kindness and welcoming manner throughout our stay these are: Reservation Bakher - checking in Ali Omar Enad Nasser Yousef Abdul Rahman Abdullah (supervisor) Restaurant staff Yousef Mohamed Eid The cleaners - All - especially the young boy whose surname is Sane. Ahmed call at the call centre, thank you for giving us a late checkout too.

Indeed; Dar Al- Ghufran is an exceptional place to stay close to Haram. The following points may summarize our experience: _ The front desk staffs were polite; professional in their job and cooperative. - The hotel location is just in front of Haram; that's why it is the most convenient stay place; especially if you have an old person with you. No boundaries between the hotel and Haram. - The electrical ladders/ conveyors are provided; so easily and quickly access can be made to Haram. Also lifts are provided for making Haram easier accessibility. - The hotel is modern; many elevators are serving the guests. In peak season; in particular;waiting can be minimal. - The rooms are spacious; the beds are very comfortable; and the bellows are very nice as well. Mattress is also very comfortable. - The bathroom is spacious with an excellent water pressure; both warm and cold water. - The breakfast was very delicious; many choices on the menu; fresh and nice food. - Overall; this hotel is run with professional team; their man goal is to serve their guests.

We arrived slightly before 4pm and was greeted by Abdul Majeed. Being our first time at this hotel, we were mentally prepared for the long checking after reading reviews of other neighbouring hotels along the clock tower area. Alhamdulillah, check in was quick as there were no one else checking in at the reception. Abdul Majeed offered an upgrade and late check out which came as a surprise as we had booked this hotel at the very last minute (2 days before arrival) with not much room type selection. Location of the hotel to haram is directly accessible via escalators. Hotel lift comes very fast unlike some review from other hotels where lifts can get crowded during peak period. Bell boy service was prompt as well. Overall, We truly enjoy our stay and had a memorable stay in makkah. Insha Allah we will be back to stay for our next umrah. Well done to the hotel team.

Location is great, you can perform Namaaz in the Prayer floor, Room was excellent. With regard to Breakfast, I was under the impression my booking was with breakfast, where they charge 120 per person. When i reached for check-in they told me it was without breakfast. I requested them to provide me breakfast. But the team did not support me giving reason my booking was through booking.com and they cannot help. Instead they told me that i can have suhoor and pay on the counter which was AEd 170 per person. I did not appreciate this from the team.
